Meet Our Team
The Year-Round Team
Commitment, perseverance, experience, and a full-time passion for camp – that’s what our year-round team is all about. These are the people who have dedicated their lives to Ramapo and do so all year long to ensure that every aspect of a camper’s day is the best it can be. They are responsible for every major component at our camp and handpick the Division Leaders, Counselors, and Program Specialists who guide your children through their daily activities. From the moment you meet them, three things will be immediately evident:
- their deep connection to children
- their love and knowledge of camp
- their boundless energy and commitment to fulfilling your child’s dreams.
Year after year, summer after summer, parents feel comfortable knowing the same extraordinary people are here to take care of their children.

Summer Staff
We spend an extensive amount of time finding, selecting, and training our summer staff to ensure our campers are surrounded by dynamic, enthusiastic, and well-rounded people who love what they do and share their passion with their campers day in and day out.
Ramapo Division Leaders are an integral part in the supervision of our campers. They are made up of professional educators each in charge of a specific age group. They are highly experienced with children, provide continual parent communication, and have an exceptional ability to manage staff, solve problems, and make sure we have very happy campers.
Ramapo Counselors are impactful young adults who are hand-picked to work with each specific age group. They are caring, attentive, and nurturing college students who excel at making children feel comfortable in their environment. All of our counselors are trained in the “Ramapo Way,” and they have an inherent ability to easily connect with everyone they meet.
Ramapo Program Coordinators are an important part of our summer staff. They are there to guide and manage our camp Specialists in their respective areas as well as oversee the programs they lead. Each Program Coordinator is a teaching professional with many summers of camp experience combined with an expertise in all the activity areas they supervise.
Ramapo Program Specialists are comprised of amazing teachers and coaches who provide a high level of leadership and instruction to ensure all of our campers receive the personal attention they need. Each specialist brings with them a combination of being extremely knowledgeable in their field as well as an extensive background working with children.

International Staff
Ramapo offers an added cultural dimension not often found in day camps. Each summer we bring more than 20 international staff members to our camp from over a dozen different countries. We continually search the world for highly-skilled foreign specialists who can provide our campers first-rate instruction while teaching them about traditions and customs abroad. All campers and staff alike enjoy this unique experience. These specialists have come from over 30 different countries such as Australia, the Czech Republic, England, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and more!

There's no place like it.
